Molly is a PhD candidate studying HIV in the brain. She started working in a lab at 16 at Michigan State University and since she has worked in 7 labs in the US and in Germany. She is passionate about science communication and using plain language so everyone can be part of science. She is severely dyslexic and has used her disability to help others with disabilities to understand science. Dr. Larissa Thackray is a COVID researcher with over 30 years of virology research experience. She started a virology podcast called ‘Let’s meet the Virologists’ in 2020 as part of her science communication initiatives to increase public trust in science. She has also served as part of the American Society for Virology communication board.
